One of the most scary things going through the mind of acne sufferers is the scars that acne can leave behind. I was an Acne sufferer throughout all of my teenage life and am here to share with you some important things that I learnt, about home acne treatments, along the way.
Washing your face each day with soap and water is simply not enough. It is recommended that you cleanse your skin with a facial wash, then use a toner before moisturising your skin. There are many products in the supermarket that claim to help clear acne. You can even get stronger products which are available from the doctors, and I must have tried everything, but personally nothing helped very much.
There are a few Do's and Dont's to consider in your everyday routine. You should try to drink 2 litres of water per day to clear toxins, cleanse your pores and keep your skin hydrated. Eat lots of fruit and vegetables and try to have a good amount of fibre, all of which can help to relieve acne. Use a moisturiser on your skin, not can oil based one but preferably something containing aloe vera. Avoid oil and cream based foundations and try not to consume to many dairy products as this does not help acne sufferers.
